Chris Vu

Chris Vu brings extensive experience in Filipino Martial Arts and weapons-based training to the ACE Martial Arts coaching team. With over 13 years of training in Kali, Arnis and Escrima, Chris has studied a wide range of systems.

With over 13 years of training in Kali, Arnis and Escrima, Chris has studied a range of systems including Balintawak, Cacoy Doce Pares and Quebec Serrada. His martial arts background also includes four years of Silat Suffian Bela Diri (SSBD), along with experience in HEMA, including Esgrima Madrid and Sala Carranza, and Japanese Kenjutsu, including Toyama-ryu and Yushinkan.

Chris is an experienced and certified Kali, Arnis and Escrima instructor who is passionate about helping students develop practical skills, confidence and a deeper understanding of weapons-based martial arts.

At ACE Martial Arts, Chris brings his specialist knowledge to our weapons and self-defence training, helping students explore the principles of distance, timing, movement, coordination, and weapon awareness in a safe, structured environment.

His approach complements ACE’s broader martial arts philosophy, developing capable, confident students through practical training while maintaining a supportive and enjoyable environment.
