The Path to Becoming a MMA Fighter

The Path to Becoming a Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) at ACE Martial Arts

At ACE Martial Arts, we help students become Mixed Martial Artists (MMA) from the ground up. Our program covers multiple disciplines like Boxing, Kickboxing, Freestyle Striking, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), and No-Gi Grappling. With our structured approach, you will progress with precision and purpose.

A Simple Approach to MMA

We use a step-by-step system that helps students improve quickly. Our focus is on mastering each skill and preparing you for competition. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, we have a clear path for you to become a skilled competitor.

Start Competing Early with Grappling and BJJ

We encourage students to compete early. Grappling and BJJ tournaments help you see how your training works in real-life situations. Whether it’s No-Gi or Gi, these competitions are the first step towards MMA success.

Transition to Amateur Boxing

Once you’ve gained experience in grappling, you’ll move on to Amateur Boxing. This is your first chance to experience full-contact fighting in a controlled setting. In these matches, you’ll focus on precision, endurance, and technique. We recommend three to five fights to prepare for the next level.

Move to Kickboxing and Muay Thai

After Boxing, you’ll train in Kickboxing or Muay Thai. You’ll have three to four competitive fights to improve your striking skills and get ready for MMA challenges.

Compete in Amateur MMA

The last step is competing in Amateur MMA. By now, you’ll be well-prepared for MMA competition, with strong skills from Boxing, Kickboxing, and Grappling.

Strength and Conditioning Support

At ACE Martial Arts, we know how important strength and conditioning are. We have a team of experienced coaches and a combat sports scientist to help you perform at your best. We also make sure you have the right recovery and training plan.

Communication is Key

Good communication between athletes and coaches is crucial. We ensure that every athlete follows the plan and gets the help they need. This way, we catch any issues early, so you stay on track and keep improving.

The Final Step: Turning Professional

After about eight Amateur MMA fights, you’re ready to turn professional. By this stage, you’ll have the skills and confidence to perform under pressure. Our coaches, strength and conditioning team, and sports scientists will support you in taking this big step.
